Summer in the South A128395 created using the lost waxA clean, rectangular slab gives way to a heavy, dripping edge in this hand formed copper wall sculpturea paused event more than a static object, as if liquid metal might resume its slow descent at any moment. The artist shaped the melting form through thousands of hammer blows, torch softening the metal between rounds, and finished the piece with a chemically bonded brown patina that will continue to evolve over decades.
