Owl Love II - Large A106334 Available in natural or oxidizedThis vivid mixed media piece features an original photograph of an owl printed with archival pigment inks on cotton printmaking paper. Yukoi Ishii highlights the image with colored pencils to create a painterly effect before affixing the print with a non toxic adhesive to a wood panel. She then coats the piece with wax to give the image a translucent quality, paints the sides of the board black, and finishes it with a clear protective acrylic.
