Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with ribbed and blue enameled arms joined through the quadrants by stylized rays, the obverse bearing a central blue enameled medallion, surrounded by a circular oak leaf wreath and overlaid by a German national eagle
