Prussia, Kingdom. A Military Honour Decoration, II Class in Zink United Republic of accompanied by its thick black(Militr Ehrenzeichen II. Klasse in Zink). Instituted 27 February 1864 by King Wilhelm I. (1864 1918 issue; 1916 1918 issue in zink). Constructed of silvered zink, on loop for suspension form its period original tri fold ribbon, the obverse bearing a central raised inscription of KRIEGS VERDIENST (WAR MERIT), situated within a circular laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the reverse bearing a raised monogram of King Wilhelm I,
