An Heer Austrian M17 transitional Stahlhelm, constructed of a single sheet of magnetic molybdenum steel which retains the majority of a Third Reich period replacement apple green paint. Three rivets are distributed around the outer circumference for the accommodation of the liner pins, while the crown is flanked on each side by protruding lugs with ventilation shafts, permitting the addition of a Stirnpanzer (brow plate).
