Footnote: John Adolphus Burton, son of Charles Benjamin, was born December 10th 1854 at Rajahundy, INdia. On January 17th 1855, John was baptized at Black Town, Madras. BY 1879, he had graduated from the Universties of Madras and Edinburgh in medicine. The following year on October 2nd 1880, John entered the Madras at Netley from October 2nd 1880 to February 7th
