Vintage Tom Waits "Get Behind The Mule" T-Shirt Novelty This three-sided mid 2000s ConfrontTom Waits, the bluesy singer songwriter with the raspy voice, released Mule Variations, his 13th album, on ANTI in 1999. Waits had been performing since the early 70s and had gained a reputation for his Beat influenced Americana. He spent a decade with major label Island Records in the 80s but jumped to ANTI , a sister company to Brett Gurewitz from Bad Religion's punk label Epitaph, with this release.
