An 8th Royal Rifles Home Foreign Services Helmet, c.1910 visually-hidden Footnote: During 1896A white foreign services helmet with brass fittings, composed of pith and covered in a white lacquer, featuring a brass finial with surrounding leaf pattern around the base, and a leather chin strap attached to the interior and folded over the brim. An 8th Royal Rifles cap badge in blackened white metal has been punctured through the helmet, measures 42. 6 mm (h) x 52. 0 mm (h), both lugs intact. A hook presides near the back to the metal chin strap
