The obverse features a prominent white enamelled cross, bordered by gilt, centred by a detailed medallion bearing the crowned royal monogram of Milan III, encircled by a deep blue enamel ring with the Cyrillic inscription , For Faith, King and Fatherland, surrounded by a finely enamelled
