A circular medal constructed of silver, the obverse bears the left facing bust of Wilhelm III circumscribed with FRIEDRICH WILHELM III KONIG VON PREUSSEN, with a small 6 dot symbol at the top, the reverse centre bears the inscription FR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR (FOR RESCUE FROM DANGER), encompassed by an oak leaf wreath, on loop for suspension with orange ribbon with white stripes,
