Austro-Hungarian Empire. A Krakow Fortress Cap Badge Archive Grand Cross Breast Star -In silvered tombac; with two hooks on the reverse for cap attachment; depicting a rightward facing bust of Kaiser Franz Joseph; maker marked K. Korschmann on the obverse; measuring 40 mm x 35 mm; better than fine condition. Footnote: The Austro Hungarian Krakow Fortress was built between 1850 and 1856. It served as a fortification, and is still intact today.
