A First Pattern Belgian Congo Silver Service Star Newly Listed with ribbon as worn1889 1910 issue; five armed silver star with ball tipped finials; the obverse with a five armed bronze star in high relief; the reverse with the Congolese motto Work and Progress; four medal bars on the original ribbon (one bar for every 3 years of service); french mounting pin; measuring 30 mm x 31 mm; ribbon lightly soiled, better than fine condition overall.
