This is an extremely well preserved Heer (Army) Non Commissioned Officer Enlisted Man visor cap. The upper body is constructed of field grey wool ringed with white Waffenfarbe piping at the top and bottom, indicating Infantry. The lower body of the hat is composed of smooth black wool with an additional ring of white piping on the bottom.
