Netherlands, Kingdom. A Red Cross of Merit, for Ladies, in Case United Republic of Oxygen was provided to crew(Kruis van Verdienste van Nederlandsche Roode Kruis). Instituted in 1914. In silver gilt with red, white and green enamels, measuring 40 mm (w) x 64. 3 mm (h inclusive of its crown and laterally pierced ball suspension), chipping evident in the red enamels on the cross on the obverse centrepiece, exhibiting lacquer repair due to flaking in the red enamels on the reverse centrepiece, original bow tied ribbon with safety pin attachment, very fine.
