Luxembourg, Duchy. A Merit Order of Adolphe of Nassau, Commander Cross with Swords, Type I, C. 1915 Buy Now the case no longer locks(Ordre de Mrite civil et militaire dAdolphe de Nassau). Instituted May 8th, 1858 (Type I, c. 1915). Constructed of silver gilt and Gold, consisting of a white enameled silver gilt Maltese Cross with ball finials and crossed swords that reach through the center of the award, with a central medallion in Gold, bearing the crowned royal cypher of Duke Adolphe of Nassau in gold, surrounded by a blue ring of enamels depicting laurels and the motto Virtute
