Saxony, Kingdom. An Order Of Civil Merit, Grand Cross Breast Star, C.1940 GTRexclude with maker mark of Meybauer(Zivil Verdienstorden). Instituted on 7 June 1815 by King Friedrich Augustus. Type II. 1891 1918 Issue. Civil Division. A eight armed silver star presenting clusters of five smooth rays, the obverse medallion in white enamel with the central inscription FR VERDIENST UND TREUE (For Merit and Faith), surrounded by a green and red enamelled wreath, encircled by a beaded gilt ring, the reverse presents a singular vertical pin assembly, measures 89. 37mm
