Germany, Imperial. A First World War Patriotic Brooch Newly Listed launched on July 5(Patriotische Brosche). Constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of an oval disc with black enameled borders topped by silvered designs, surrounding a pale yellow enameled field overlaid by a silvered and black enameled 1914 Iron Cross, the reverse with a clip hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a rounded catch, unmarked, measuring 42 mm (w) x 29 mm (h), with a small chip visible to the yellow enamel between
