An eight pointed star consisting of arms composed of clusters of seven smooth rays in silver, obverse centre presenting a stylized inscription with the name of the order on red enamels, surrounding ring in white enamel inscribed by motto (God with us) completed by laurel wreaths below, with gilt crossed swords affixed across the star, reverse with central vertical pin assembly, marked by G. A. S.
