Turkey, Ottoman Empire. A Turkish War Medal (Gallipoli Star), in Case Auction measuring between 118x89mm and 81x162mm(Harp Madalyas). Constructed of silver gilt with enamels, consisting of a five pointed star completing in ball finials, the obverse with red enameled arms, overlaid by a raised and silvered crescent, surrounding a silvered Tughra of Sultan Mehmed V above an Islamic calendar date of 1333 (AD 1915), the reverse with multiple visible rivets securing the obverse fixtures in place, with a block hinge and vertical pinback meeting a rounded catch, measuring
