Germany, Hj. A Winter Service Cap Hold Measuring 89 x 139 mm(HJ Wintermtze). An extremely well preserved HJ winter service cap, constructed of thick dark navy blue wool. It is fully surrounded by fold down side panels, scalloped at the front, offering optional ear and neck protection to the wearer. When not in use, the panels are rolled up and secured in place at the front with a silvered bronze buckle and sliding wool knot.
