Saphir 2018 dunkler Schokolade und einem HauchThe Saphir shimmers in dark cherry red with violet reflections in the glass. The nose is filled with a harmonious accord of dried plum, ripe blackberry, fig, a pinch of nutmeg and tobacco. The acidity gives the Saphir a fine berry freshness and, reinforced by the robust tannin, gives it its aging potential. The tannin is already showing signs of taming and promises to soon grow up and become more settled from its wild teenage years. A wonderfully
